Presentation

Our presentation programs are designed to strengthen presentation ability, which is a weakness among many students. In our various programs for all levels, we provide instruction in presenting a persuasive argument and expressing a point of view in a logical manner.

  • Student picks a book from ReadingTown library list; finishes the book; then writes out an introduction with book information, why he/she chose the book, and what he/she liked about it.

  • With a provided illustration list (which is composed of 8 selected illustrations of the chosen book), student writes a story for each illustration (not copying from the book).

  • Teacher checks student's writing and provides comment for revision.

  • Student memorizes the revised writing for each illustration.

  • Student practices the 3 components:
    • (1)the beginning: intro, book title, author, main characters
    • (2)the body: 8 stories for 8 illustrations
    • (3)the ending: why he/she chose the book and what he/she liked about it)

  • Student completely memorizes the 8 stories for 8 illustrations.

  • Student learns storytelling skills, the 7 techniques for public speakers:
