7 Rules of ReadingTown

Make-up Class

Only one(1) make-up class will be allowed for EVERY TWELVE(12) registered sessions, and each make-up class should take place by the following week. Please note that ReadingTown cannot guarantee the same teacher and same class size for the make-up classes. Changing class schedule or missing a class without prior notice is strictly prohibited.

Homework

Students are expected to complete all parts of their homework, including book reading, worksheets, book reports, and other material, BEFORE they come to ReadingTown.
Parents should check the homework and sign in the indicated space. Students are also required to take related tests on E-LG (E-Learning Gate) at HOME.

Books

All books checked out by students must be returned on time, and should be in the same condition as they were when they were checked out. Misplacement of or irreparable damage to a book will result in a $20 fee per book, which should be paid immediately upon request.

Tuition Payment

Tuition should be paid in full before sessions start and is not negotiable. There is NO CASH REFUND for any missed class; a credit will be issued for a missed class due to medical reasons only, with a doctor's note.

Pick-up / Drop-off

Parents should bring students into the ReadingTown building since we are not responsible for any accidents that could occur in the parking lot or driveway. Parents also should pick up their children on time. If someone other than a parent needs to pick up the child, please let ReadingTown know in advance.

Parental Involvement

The value of parental involvement in our program has been clearly proven among our most successful students. Parents are recommended to review student's work, frequently check student's performance on Performance Monitor at My RT Room via E-LG (E-Learning Gate), and attend all scheduled meetings with ReadingTown staff. Most importantly, parents should encourage their children to read books for at least 30 minutes everyday.

Class Participation

Students will be encouraged to participate in the class discussion or oral presentations. Any student who is disturbing, interfering, or disobeying will be subject to academic discipline, and may be dismissed from ReadingTown without REFUND.
